A Welcome from The Observer Corps
For your Advanced Rider Course, you’ll be paired with one of our highly skilled Observers, themselves Advanced Riders who hold an additional Institute of the Motor Industry recognised National Observer qualification.
Your assigned Observer will meet you at a locations and times that are convenient for you both. Over a series of observed rides, you’ll develop your core riding skills and learn how to continuously apply the ‘IPSGA’ framework (Information, Position, Speed, Gear, Acceleration) to a variety of on-road situations including on bends, junctions, motorways, and during overtakes.
Keeping You In Touch
eNEWS@EKAM - Our monthly Electronic Newsletter
There are lots of ways you can keep in touch with news and events happening within the club. One that requires no effort at all is the eNEWS@EKAM e-newsletter. This will arrive in your in-box each month shortly before Club Night and will give you the ‘Heads-Up’ on most things that are going on.
EKAM Social Riding
The Rides
Social Ride
We run regular Social Rides throughout the year, generally on the 3rd Sunday morning in the month (the one after our club meeting). Details of each ride are published on The Tracker calendar, where you can also sign up for your attendance. It’s not “compulsory” to commit, but it is very helpful if you do so that we may ensure sufficient organisation is in place.
