So What Happened in ’24?

Actually quite a lot.

We had major changes amongst the club’s officials.  There’s a separate piece on this year’s changes but in short, we lost 6 of our 15 committee members.  Other members stepped forward to fill the gaps but, in the coming year, we will still need to recruit another two important posts.

Did Something Change in the Way We Run Things?

No!  But we did experience a huge change amongst those engaged in running the club.  I appreciate the very word ‘committee’ can immediately generate a switching-off of interest but this is important; somehow the club needs steering and things need to get done.  Without the Committee the club would cease to function so please take a moment to reflect on the following few paragraphs.  We’ve ‘lost’ some highly valued and long-standing committee members from key positions over the last year (although fortunately most of them don’t seem to have gone too far away).  And we’ve had to manage that loss.

What's On for 2025

The aim is to build and improve on 2024.

The big trips are in hand – Wales, Mid-Summer Madness, Late Summer Madness, an excursion to the Massif Central and another, yet to be finalised, long ride weekend in Blighty (all will be revealed in due course in eNEWS@EKAM).
