Actually quite a lot.

We had major changes amongst the club’s officials.  There’s a separate piece on this year’s changes but in short, we lost 6 of our 15 committee members.  Other members stepped forward to fill the gaps but, in the coming year, we will still need to recruit another two important posts.

The publication of Out in Front, our bi-monthly magazine, came to an end and was replaced by eNEWS@EKAM, an electronic monthly periodical that you will have been reading to reach this.

The club really started to get back to a full program of social activities with interesting speakers at club nights and organised trips away.  Some of us had a great evening at Alsford Brothers in Folkstone in the summer when we were allowed to test a whole range of interesting machines.

Midsummer Madness returned in June with its autumn doppelgänger reinstated in September.  The annual trip to Wales of course and regular ride outs on Sundays and Tuesdays throughout the summer.  Plus a whole lot of impromptu riding.

Sadly the annual BBQ had to be abandoned as we couldn’t sell enough tickets – something we need feedback from members on to understand what we could do to make it more attractive or what we might do in its place.

The Christmas party remains very much on however and look forward to seeing many of you there this week.

And then there’s training.  EKAM is about riding standards and the club continues to develop its members whilst having a lot of fun doing it.  Please read Iain Moss’s article to get the flavour of what is afoot but I can’t not mention in this summary a great weekend riding to and from Peterborough in July (which I was very happy to be part of).

There was lot more of course and I’ve missed something you particularly remember I apologise.  Hopefully though we’ll have covered it in e-NEWS@EKAM and you will be able to find it archived on the EKAM website.
