Isle of Wight 26th to 29th September

Sarah Farbrace and Stuart Faulkner organised a weekend trip to the IOW. I wasn’t sure what the Isle had to offer but it was a great weekend. The route down to Portsmouth mostly ran along the south coast with just a small amount of main roads. The island has a great similarity to the unclassified and B roads around Kent but with the added bonus of regular sights of the sea.

Apart from Sunday morning we had really good weather. The highlight of the trip was the military road which is 11 miles of heaven. Pot hole free, lovely bends and great to practise overtakes. It is worth going there just for the road, cheaper than a track day

Yet another great addition to the packed club riding programme. Thank you, Sarah and Stuart.

Travelling the North Coast 500
