My overwhelming memory of the Club September France trip was sitting in the beautiful Saint-Valery-sur-Somme. It was so hot that a few of us had to search for shade to eat our sandwich lunch. Sarah Brown, Tony House and I left the group after lunch for a three-night stop at Amiens for some extra riding.
Many thanks go to Sarah Farbrace, for again doing a great job in organising the June and September France ride outs. These take a lot of planning. Also, thanks to the ride leaders. These are popular trips, and I am looking forward to next year.
In a spirit of continual improvement, we need to review a number of items such as marking, fuel stops, and one or two other areas. We will have discussions during the winter, so that we are ready for the next trip to a foreign country (Wales in May).
