I didn’t think I would make the Tuesday ride as I had a meeting at 14.00 and a hearing test at 16.15 (which started ar 16.40). But fortune was on my side and I managed to get to the Canterbury Garden Centre, at Chartham on A28 for 18.00.
To my surprise and delight there was just under 30 bikes with Steve Wynne leading. There were a few new associates and plenty of old friends. The ride was about 45 miles mostly around North Kent. There were a few (not many-Steve says about 2.5 miles) of interesting roads, or were they forest tracks? Just watch the overhanging branches. But there were also some cracking roads including past Doddington and around Oare.
The icing on the cake was a great ride that finished a couple of miles from my home.
