It was good to see a fair turnout at club night, particularly some of those who had travelled back from Wales on Monday. Our “Question Time” session started with short presentations from Iain Moss (Chief Observer), on the introduction of Tracker, which is currently in the process of being set up. Tracker will eventually become our “go to” membership data base, event booking and observer ride reports system. More information when it is launched.

Barry Ricks (newsletter editor) updated club members on the monthly newsletter which will usually be published on the Friday before each club night.  Members welcomed the new approach. We were encouraged to send in articles, photos and other information to Barry Ricks. There is a link in the newsletter to send this information to Barry.

Tariq Hussain (Chairman) explained that Steve Wynne, our ride coordinator has proposed that we run an associate recruitment day.  Particularly in the light of the rise in IAM fees which may negatively impact on associate recruitment. This is in the planning stage.

Members at the meeting raised some very helpful suggestions, which will be considered by the club committee. For example: Increasing the number and type of day (or longer) club rides, the need for the committee to publish guidelines on the uploading of videos taken at club rides and events onto public websites etc.
